Terracotta Monsters Returning

For many years I have run a very popular parent and child class called “Make a Terracotta Monster” through Adult Education. I am both a registered teacher (B.A., Dip Ed., Dip Art, Craft and Design) and run my own studio based pottery.

The monsters are now moving to my studio in Lindisfarne, and in Summer the occasional Sunday from 10-1.30 will present a fantastic opportunity to have  creative fun with your child, grandchild or neighbour, as well as on some week days during school holidays.  The first class is being held on  Wednesday 16th January and is FULL.

Using pinching and joining large mythical animals, dinosaurs and creatures of all sorts of imaginary persuasions will come to life. Parental involvement is to be a helper for the child at their request, in the meantime making something of their own. The primary focus is on the child and the creative partnership.

Pieces are coloured with slip, and when dry I will fire them with a clear glaze. They are ready for collection approximately 3 weeks later.

If you are interested in putting your names down for this workshop email me at  with details of your availability and I will programme a class to suit your needs.
