Endangered Species 19,817!

When I first made my “Endangered Species” pots about 8 years ago I wrote “More than 600 species of plants and animals are currently considered threatened in Tasmania.” I read in “The Mercury” on 21 June the latest update of the International Union for Conservation of Nature Red List of Threatened Species. Worldwide they assessed 63,837 species. It is alarming that 19,817 are threatened with extinction.
